Tina Malonson is not only a dedicated psychiatric nurse practitioner but also a loving mother of three sons, one daughter, and two grandchildren. Born and raised in the vibrant culture of southern Louisiana, Tina cherishes spending quality time with her family, volunteering at her local church, and actively serving her community.
Tina's journey in the field of healthcare began when she earned her Associates Degree in Science of Nursing in 2006 from the esteemed Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans, Louisiana. Alongside her professional commitments, she pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, successfully graduating from Louisiana State University. Driven by her newfound purpose, Tina continued her education journey at Nicholas State University, earning her Master of Science in Nursing. She proudly achieved certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, officially becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Yet, Tina's thirst for knowledge and her commitment to mental health advocacy didn't stop there.
Determined to broaden her horizons and explore her passion for medicine and psychology, Tina embarked on a new path during the pandemic. She worked tirelessly in the emergency room at Lincoln Medical Center and the Mental Health Hospital in Bronx, New York. This experience not only enriched her clinical knowledge but also instilled in her a profound desire to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals grappling with mental health issues.
Tina pursued a Post Masters Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health from Herzing University in Wisconsin, further enhancing her skills and knowledge in the field of psychiatric care. She achieved her dream of becoming a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, a testament to her unwavering dedication to improving mental health outcomes for her patients.
Today, Tina combines her diverse nursing background and extensive training to serve her community as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Mind and Body Care, where she provides much-needed psychiatric care and support to those in need. Tina's journey is a testament to her unwavering commitment to the well-being of her patients and her relentless pursuit of excellence in the field of psychiatric nursing.
